This symposium will feature readings of Štĕpán Šimek’s new translations of Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya, The Seagull and The Cherry Orchard, in addition to presentations and panel discussions on Chekhov in contemporary translation, Chekhov’s dramaturgy, Chekhov in performance, and Chekhov in contemporary Russia.
