The Seagull

(2017)

As part of a long term collaboration with translator Štĕpán Šimek, PETE is workshopping a new visceral English translation of Chekhov’s The Seagull in 2017, with plans to produce the show in 2020.

This project furthers our work on the series of new Chekhov translations that began with our production of The Three Sisters in 2014, and continues with our 2018 production of Uncle Vanya.
