In the Stead of a Burnt Family Tree, I Stand

In the Stead of a Burnt Family Tree, I Stand

This solo performance is Sizheng Song's attempt to excavate a haunting and out-of-reach history through embodying obscure aspects of her kinspeople's lives. By reaching back through the chain that is memory, Song hopes to illuminate a thin slice of the layered histories of a vast land and many peoples. You are invited to join her at her family's dining room, where stories were told, where silences accrue. This performance is part of Ghosts and Grief: A Collection, alongside Amelia [& Hen]Rietta.
